Certified Translations
A certified (or official) translation is the translation of an official document which is then certified to be an accurate representation of the source document.
Over and above our standard translation provision, we can provide two levels of certification with our translations. You should always check with the relevant authority or organisation requesting the translation on what level of certification you require for your translation.
Standard certified translation
Accompanying the stamped translation we can provide a Translation Declaration (certificate) on company letterhead stating that the translation is a true and accurate representation of the source document and has been carried out by a professionally qualified linguist.
This form of certification is suitable for most circumstances where the translation is required for official purposes.
Sworn Translation
Sworn translations are accompanied with an Affidavit (a sworn statement in writing) whereby the translator testifies before a solicitor or Public Notary that they have undertaken the translation and it is a true and accurate translation.
